The State University of Zanzibar (SUZA)'s 10th Graduation ceremony




The State University of Zanzibar (SUZA) has the pleasure to announce that the 10th Graduation Ceremony for the candidates who have satisfied the requirements for the award of Certificates, Diplomas and Degrees for 2013/2014 academic year will be held at Tunguu Main Campus on Saturday 20th December, 2014 from 9.00 am.

The Chancellor of the State University of Zanzibar, His Excellency Dr. Ali Mohamed Shein, the President of Zanzibar and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council will confer the awards to candidates who successfully completed their respective courses.

Graduands wishing to participate in the graduation are required to observe the following:
  1. Confirm their participation by indicating their names, registration numbers and course programmes through email pro@suza.ac.tz or physical visit to the DAQA’s Office before 12th December, 2014 at 4.00 pm.
  2. Graduation gowns will be borrowed at a non-refundable fee of Tsh. 20,000/- (Twenty thousand shillings only) to be deposited into People’s Bank of Zanzibar Limited Account No. 021103000490. They will be issued from 16th – 18th December, 2014 between 9.00am – 3.30 pm at Tunguu Main Campus upon presentation of the Original Bank pay-in-slip to the Accounts Office. Gowns must be returned within four (4) days after graduation.
  3. All Graduands expecting to take part in the Graduation Ceremony shall be required to attend a compulsory Rehearsal to be held on Thursday 18th December, 2014 at Tunguu Main Campus starting from 09.00 am. Those who will not attend in the rehearsal will not be allowed to participate in the Graduation ceremony, shall be considered absent and graduate in absentia.
  4. Prize Award Ceremony for the best performing students will take place concurrently on the same day and time. Also credentials (certificates, diplomas and degrees) for successful candidates will be granted immediately after the incident.
  5. All graduands will have to meet their travel, meals, accommodation and other incidental expenses.
