Mkwawa universities college of education MUCE a constituent college of the University of Dar es salaam invites applications from suitable and qualified candidates to fill the fallowing vacant post:-

ACADEMIC STAFF
1. SENIOR LECTURE (3 POSTS)
a. Areas of specialization
i. Philosophy of education (1 post)
ii. Any of the fallowing disciplines: linguistic science, Economic, Geography, history, development studies or kiswihili (1 post)
iii. Any of the fallowing discipline: physics, informatics’, biology, chemistry ormathematics (1post) 
b. Qualification and experience
The applicant shall be a holder of a PhD Degree; master’s degree with an overall GPA of not less than 4.0 and bachelor degree with GPA of 3.8 in the relevant field.


The applicant shall have teaching of not less than three (3) years in higher leaning institution after getting a PhD degree.
c. Duties and responsibilities.
A successful candidates is expected to perform the following: teach, conduct research and offer public services in his /her respective areas of specialization.
d. Remuneration: PUTS 4/5

NOTE: All candidates who have pursed their studies outside the country should attach a letter from TCU certifying certificates as well as translate the grades into local equivalent.

2. LECTURE 4 (POSTS)
a. Ares of specialization 
i. Curriculum development and design
ii. Any of the fallowing desciplines: political science, development linguistics, history, geography or economics.
iii. Any of the fallowing disciplines: physics, informatics, biology, chemistry or mathematics(1 post)
iv. Zoology (1 post)
b. Qualifications and experience
The applicants should be a holder of PhD degree with an overall GPA of not less than 4.0 and a bachelor degree with an overall GPA of not lee than 3.8 in the learning institution.
The applicant shall have a teaching experience of not less than three(3) years in higher leaning institutions.
c. Age limit
The age of an applicant should not be above 45 years.
d. Duties and responsibility 
A successful candidate is expected to perform the following: teach contact research, and offer public service in his/her respective area of specialization.

Remuneration: PUTS 2/5-3/4

vi. Political science (teaching method) ( 1post)
vii. Physics education (teaching methods) ( 1post)
viii. Any of the fallowing disciplines: electronics, theoretical physics or environment physics( 1post)
ix. Database management and/ or programming language.
x. Vertebrate anatomy and physiology
b. Qualification and experience
The applicant shall be a holder of master’s degree with an overall an overall GPA of not less than three 3.8 in the relevant field
The applicant should have teaching experience of not less than three 3 years in higher learning institutions.
c. Age limit
The age of an applicant should not be above 40 years.

d. Duties and responsibility
A successful candidate is expected to perform the following:
Teaching, research, consultance and community services in his/her respective area of specilization
e. Remuneration: PUTS 1/5-2/3
